Welcome to Clayfield-Toombul RSL

Clayfield-Toombul Sub-Branch of the Returned & Services League of Australia supports service personnel, past and present, who have given us our freedom.

Our commitment to both local veterans and the community saw us take the unusual steps in 2020 to pre-record a covid compliant service, which was later broadcast live on ANZAC morning.

We were the only RSL Sub Branch in Queensland to undertake such a task, and as such, we have maintained an unbroken commitment to the conducting of ANZAC Day Services for over 100 years.

This tradition continues, and details of our 2021 ANZAC Day Services can be located on our Facebook page.

After their bomber was shot down and crashed, local French villagers risked their lives to bury them against orders from their German occupiers. Read more>>

~ LT Thomas Naylor and PTE Norman Watson ~

Two men who grew up just a couple of hundred metres apart in Eagle Junction lie buried 35 metres from each other in France.

They died at Dernancourt in what was perhaps the greatest feat of arms by Australians on the Western Front. Read more>>
